# Make small refinement edits

> Use Miles for focused copy, layout, style, and media improvements.

Small edits work best when the target is clear. Tell Miles exactly what should change and what should stay the same.

Keep the request narrow, review the result, then move to the next edit.

## Good refinement requests

## Keep the scope narrow

Say what should not change:

* keep the current layout
* keep the same CTA
* keep the current URL
* do not publish yet
* do not change navigation
* keep existing service names

## Review the result

Small changes can still affect visitors. Check mobile layout, links, copy accuracy, and whether Miles changed more than you asked for. On locked sites, Miles may ask for approval before applying the edit.
