# With a coding agent

> Add Miles to a coding agent and connect your account.

Use this route when your project already lives in Claude, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, or another compatible coding agent.

## Before you start

Open your coding agent in the project you want to work on. The agent needs permission to install the Miles skill and connect to Miles.

## Add and connect Miles

1. Send this request to your coding agent:

```text theme={"dark"}
Read start.bymiles.ai and set up Miles.
```

2. Review and allow the installation when the agent asks for permission.
3. Ask the agent:

```text theme={"dark"}
Check that Miles is ready. If I am not signed in, start the Miles login flow and guide me through it.
```

4. Open the approval link the agent gives you.
5. Check that the device code matches, then approve the connection.
6. Return to the agent and wait for it to confirm the connected Miles account.

You are ready when the agent confirms that Miles is installed and signed in. It can then help you choose a new design sandbox, a local WordPress install, or a connected remote WordPress site.
