The newest release is open below; expand any earlier release to see its notes. #### What's Fixed * Opening a Playground site no longer dead-ends on a "Try Again" screen when the setup takes longer than expected or the tab was in the background; it picks up and finishes on its own. * Pressing Stop while Miles is working in the editor now stops within seconds instead of waiting out a long timeout, and the message says it was stopped rather than blaming a lost connection. * After Miles fixes something the final visual check pointed out, the result is reported as complete instead of leaving the check marked as still open. #### Improvements * If your host asks for a password before WordPress loads, the chat now shows a clear notice explaining that Miles cannot reach the site until that is lifted, instead of a reconnect prompt that would not help. * The plugin is tested with WordPress 7.1. #### What's Fixed * Switching to another tab no longer leaves a task hanging for hours; work resumes when you come back, and after ten minutes away Miles stops and tells you the tab needs to be active. * Edits made on Playground sites are now checked with a fresh capture of the saved page, so the final review reflects what you actually got instead of reporting it could not be captured. * Sites behind a hosting password or basic-auth wall are recognized up front; Miles explains what to change instead of claiming the work succeeded or spending generation on a page it cannot reach. * Long conversations no longer jump away from the bottom when a new message arrives. * Fewer false alerts about missing dependencies when the site's package tools are slow to respond. #### Improvements * Ask how things are going while Miles is working and you get a short answer right away, without interrupting the task. * When Miles is waiting for this tab to be in the foreground, it says so, and on your return it tells you how long it paused. * Reviewing a saved page now shows each step in the conversation instead of a bare loading indicator. * Requesting account deletion locks the account immediately, and you receive a confirmation email. #### What's New * Upload a design system, brand guidelines, or client brief (Markdown, text, or PDF) and Miles follows its exact colors and typefaces across every design direction. * Photos you attach are now placed in your designs as restoring screen immediately instead of leaving the site looking untouched while the restore runs. * When an undo fails or there is nothing left to restore, the restoring screen clears so you can read the message instead of it covering the chat. * Edits that saved successfully are no longer reported back as failed. #### Improvements * Undoing a change restores your site faster. * Design edits now explicitly start a new build, so Miles can keep working on the site you already have open. * Older Miles-built themes can now be confirmed as Miles-managed when theme or header file edits are needed, instead of being incorrectly treated as unsupported. #### Improvements * Direct theme-file edits now require explicit confirmation for legacy Miles themes, keeping normal Gutenberg edits available while avoiding accidental edits to third-party themes. #### What's Fixed * When your saved Miles connection expires, Miles now shows the reconnect prompt from more places instead of leaving the conversation stuck. * After reconnecting Miles, you return to the same conversation with the same site connected instead of starting over in a fresh chat. #### What's Fixed * When your connection to Miles needs renewing, Miles now shows a clear Reconnect prompt — right in the chat and in your WordPress admin — instead of getting stuck telling you to reload the page. * An approval request that expired while you were away no longer gets stuck; it clears cleanly when you respond, and Miles asks again if the change is still needed. #### What's New * Edit a site you already have. Point Miles at an existing WordPress site and have it make changes, not just build brand-new ones. A new start screen lets you build, edit, or import a site - and any new sections or pages Miles adds are built right into your existing design, matching its colors, fonts, and spacing. * Redo a whole page at once. Ask Miles to redesign an existing page and you get one cohesive design (same web address) instead of edits made piece by piece. * Undo on your own WordPress site. Undo now works on your connected WordPress site, not just Playground sites. A single Undo rolls your whole last change back - content, styling, settings, and even plugin or theme changes you approved. * Miles asks before touching your live site. On a connected site, Miles gets your approval before anything visitors would see or anything destructive (publishing pages, switching themes, changing settings, deleting content). You can see and toggle this protection any time. * Talk to Miles while it's working. You no longer have to wait for Miles to finish. Type a follow-up any time and it queues up and nudges Miles mid-task instead of interrupting or restarting it. * Much better, more varied designs. Homepage and hero designs are noticeably richer and more diverse, with a far wider range of distinct, polished directions tailored to your business. * Works with a local WordPress install. The Miles skill can now work with a local WordPress install, not just a remote Playground site. #### Improvements * Brand-grounded designs. When you give Miles a real brand URL, it pulls in the site's actual colors, fonts, and logo and designs around them instead of inventing a look. * Optional hero images. Type-led and product-style heroes can now skip the photo when they read better without one, instead of always forcing an image in. * Cleaner, less templated output. Tightened design guidance removes the tells of an AI-generated site, like fake "live" status dots, generic eyebrow and kicker labels, dark dev-tool palettes, and abstract filler imagery. * Theme-native spacing. Generated pages now use your theme's own spacing scale and rhythm, so sections, cards, and gaps scale fluidly with the screen instead of looking pasted-on at large sizes. * More dependable responsive layouts. On third-party themes, where WordPress strips out advanced responsive CSS, Miles now builds layouts that adapt down to mobile on their own with auto-fitting grids, wrapping rows, and fluid sizing. * No redundant page titles. When a theme offers a no-title page template, new Miles pages use it, since they already bring their own hero heading. * Editable color swatches. Brand colors defined in CSS now appear as editable swatches in Global Styles instead of being buried in code. * Functional placeholders are remembered. Forms and other dynamic blocks generated during a build are now captured into the site plan so the intent isn't lost. * Hero choice always offered. Fresh builds always show you the four design directions to choose from instead of occasionally skipping the step. * Edit mode is the safe default. If Miles loses track of what you're doing (a reload or navigation), it falls back to editing your site rather than starting a fresh build on your real site. * Honest about what will actually render. On third-party themes, Miles now tells you when an effect (advanced CSS, per-page headers) can't reliably show for visitors and suggests an approach that will, instead of applying an edit that silently disappears. * Tidier preview. The Site Plan now lives in the preview area, and preview controls only appear once there's something to show. * Live progress when chat is hidden. During edits with the chat collapsed, Miles shows what it's doing and a reconnecting state instead of going quiet. * Activation safety net. Theme and plugin activations are health-checked right after they apply, so a change that would break your site can be rolled back automatically. * Graceful reconnect. Miles only asks you to re-pair when your credentials are genuinely gone; routine server blips no longer trigger a needless reconnect. * Sturdier backups under load. Snapshot backups now have their own upload capacity with automatic retry and a clear "Backups paused" status, so they don't stall when lots of people are editing at once. * Faster responses. Reduced time-to-first-token by trimming server overhead in front of the model. #### What's Fixed * Editor layout stays put. It no longer bounces you back to a centered chat or a blank canvas mid-session, including after you edit one of your messages or reload. * Opens the right page. After a build or page redesign, the editor reliably opens that page instead of snapping back to the homepage, and generated images and saved edits load correctly on sites with no Miles-specific storage. * First edit is undoable. A timing race that could make the very first edit in a new conversation impossible to undo is fixed. * No premature Undo button. The Undo control no longer appears before editing is actually available. * No style leaks from Custom HTML. Styling added through raw Custom HTML blocks used to show on the live site but not in the editor; that's resolved. * Editor preference restored. Miles no longer leaves your pages locked to its rendering preference after a session; it puts your editor back the way it was. * No more missing sections. Conversion no longer drops whole sections, including hero portraits, badges, and intros. * Converted elements keep their look. Buttons, headers, and groups retain their styling and no longer get flagged as invalid when you open and save. * Margins and maps match. Negative margins and embedded maps now render the same in the editor as on the live site. * More CSS survives conversion. Named colors, native details elements, positioned elements, and literal values like transparent are now handled correctly. * Even spacing on third-party themes. Card and section spacing that used to come out uneven or collapsed is corrected. * Hero titles fit. Large headlines no longer overflow, run off-canvas, or break one letter per line. * Reliable hero regeneration. Re-rolling a hero now selects the design you pick, with no error or wrong preview after a cancelled or failed attempt. * Complete theme exports. Exporting bakes your actual current site - every published page and your real front page - not just Miles-tagged content. * Site copies stay separate. A site cloned outside the export flow re-registers as its own site instead of hijacking the original's connection, and an http-to-https or www change is no longer mistaken for a clone. * Safe front-page swaps. On a theme switch, the old front page is retired correctly (a replacement is created first) instead of being left publicly reachable and able to collide with the new homepage. * Durable first build. The snapshot taken right after a build is no longer lost to a version mismatch or a tab crash, so a fresh site no longer reverts to default WordPress. * Reliable export snapshots. Conversation snapshots are more dependable, with correct handling of expired links. * Works on shared hosts. Installing themes and uploading media now work on managed and shared hosts, with a clear "themes dir not writable" message when a folder genuinely can't be written. * Imports stay intact. Imported pages keep escaped values like quoted font-family names instead of being corrupted. * Better font discovery. Miles now finds Google Fonts referenced in both HTML and CSS. * Special characters display right.
