API keys allow tools and agents to access Miles on your behalf. The Miles skill creates a key automatically during its first approved login. You can also create and revoke keys from Settings → API Keys.

Key safety

  • treat API keys like passwords
  • do not paste keys into public repos, tickets, or chats
  • revoke keys you no longer use
  • create separate keys for separate tools when possible

When to rotate a key

Revoke a key if it was exposed, copied into the wrong place, shared with the wrong person, or used by a tool you no longer trust. A newly created key is shown only once, so copy it to the intended tool before closing the dialog.
