A Miles design sandbox is the natural starting point for a new site. It keeps early design and build work separate from an existing WordPress install, so you can explore directions without changing that install.

What happens in a design sandbox

Miles can gather a brief, create design directions, build the selected site, and give your agent previews, screenshots, and an HTML export. This part of the workflow does not need access to an existing WordPress site. When you are happy with the built site, you can choose to convert it into a WordPress block theme. That step needs a connected browser workspace because it works with the design sandbox’s WordPress environment.

When to choose another environment

Choose a local WordPress site when you explicitly want the agent to work with a safe local installation. For an existing remote site, install and pair the Miles plugin in WordPress first; an agent should not try to set up a remote site through your local files. Next: Use a local or remote WordPress site.
