Miles can start with a little context or a lot. The best starting point is the one that gives Miles enough direction while still leaving room for design exploration. For most new sites, the first goal is not to finish everything in one pass. The first goal is to give Miles enough context to create a strong design foundation that you can review, edit, and build on.

Common starting points

Start in a Miles design sandbox when you want a safe place to explore. Miles first creates a site you can review through design directions and previews, without changing an existing WordPress install. When you are happy with the built site, you can choose to convert it into a WordPress theme. The early flow usually looks like this:
  • describe the site you want
  • answer Miles’ questions
  • review the website brief
  • choose or refine a design direction
  • let Miles build the homepage and site foundation
  • use the Site Plan for remaining pages and functionality

Using a coding agent

What not to do
